New Management Textbook

Following a long standing collaboration, Mark Rainbird the Managing Director of AWA has written a new textbook in collaboration with Professor David Walters – “Strategic Operations Management – A Value Chain Approach”. Published by Palgrave, the text is aimed at post-graduate management students. Professor Walters has a distinguished history of research and teaching and recently took up a post at Sydney University at the Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies. AWA Commences EFTPOS service for CBA
28 December, 2006
From November 2006 AWA has commenced providing field service and logistics support for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s EFTPOS terminal base in the Sydney Metropolitan area. This is a new activity for AWA and has involved a rapid deployment of new field teams and logistics support for the Bank’s extensive merchant network.

AWA Limited and Sydney Graduate School of Management (UWS) Team Up To Research Value Chain Management

AWA Limited, one of Australia’s best known names in technology, in conjunction with the Sydney Graduate School of Management [SGSM] at the University of Western Sydney, have agreed to sponsor a research project on Value Chain Management.
Professors David Walters and Stan Glaser will lead the project and they will focus on the dynamics of how value chains operate in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) Services market.
“We are very excited at the opportunity to work with and support the University on this project. We are already taking a value chain driven approach to building our own business and this is finding a lot of resonance with our business partners,” said Mark Rainbird, Managing Director, AWA Limited.
