AWA All Stars
On the Home page of our website are the winners of our Team Members of the Month.
They are “front page news” because our business is built on our staff.
We have a staff AWArds scheme and you can nominate any staff member for providing good customer service (Nomination Form). They stand to win various prizes but most importantly they receive the recognition they deserve.
All the current months nominations are published on this page.

“…I would like to pass on some positive feedback as the account manager for DET. DET is a big customer of ours and always expect a high level attention to their calls. Moustafa Ayoubi (NSW)
“I just wanted to say what an absolute delight it is to have your technician, Moustafa, attending to our Warranty Repairs. He is a credit to your company. He is not only extremely polite, well spoken and well dressed but a true professional. He always rings before coming to make a time that is convenient and always keeps his appointments. The repairs are done in a quick and efficient manner without fuss or bother. You never have to worry that something “won’t work” after he has been out on site. I would greatly appreciate if you could please pass my thanks and comments to your supervisors and to Moustafa. Thank you once again..”

Employees of the year for 2009 |
|
Troy Du Sart (NSW)
Amongst the many worthy nominees Troy was a standout. Though his role is principally internally focused – he is also an effective ‘troubleshooter” for customer issues. If you read the AWA Service Standards you can tick the box against every single one as far as Troy is concerned. Troy always communicates well, leaves the customer with a solution not a problem, does what he says he is going to do, is unfailingly polite and respectful and takes ownership of what he has to do.

Employees of the month for October 2009 |
 |
Ritesh Sharma (VIC)
“… I worked with Ritesh on 2 installs. The first at Shepparton and the second at Chirnside Park. Ritesh required extremely little input from me at both installs. He kept the install guide at his fingertips throughout the process. He was not phased by a difficult M/Y pen issue (common issue). He also successfully handled finisher calibration issues. With this being his first install he displayed high confidence and poise throughout. His questions of me were merely to confirm his thinking. At the second install Ritesh had the ML1000 out of the crate and on the lab floor before I arrived. He showed initiative to get the install started early due to the complications faced during the Shepparton install. His attention to detail made for a very successful install. I was very comfortable leaving Ritesh with the ML while addressing issues with other devices. He was able to pickup on my tips and tricks very quickly. i.e. finisher calibration tricks & what makes for acceptable output. His eye for IQ issues is certainly adequate to get the ML ready to sell prints. Overall I was very impressed with Ritesh’s ability given the limited experience he had with the ML1000. I would have no issues having Ritesh handle a ML1000 install without onsite HP support.

Robert Campton (ACT)
“…want to comment on the exceptional service that Robert has provided to us today. If Robert is typical of AWA service personnel, then you must be the premier company in Australia and you should market your personnel training…. Robert was on time, friendly, patient and showed a level of expertise that certainly gave us confidence. He had diagnosed the problem I had with my LCD TV, had the correct parts with him and the was solved with a minimum of fuss. Certainly other servicemen are good at their jobs but what lifted Robert above the rest, in our experience, was his willingness to go the extra mile, provide excellent advice and help with problems related to the servicing of the TV. This young man is an outstanding representative for your company and I do hope that you value him appropriately. With thanks and best wishes…”

Rina Sharma (NSW)
“… Rina is a credit to AWA. Her service was good old fashion service, you just don’t get this service anymore. We decided to buy it from (them) because it was a good brand, AWA. When we had trouble with the TV we found we needed the receipt, which we did not have. As the side effects of the Chemotherapy treatment knocked me for six this time, Tony explained to Rina he needed to stay with me. Rina was fantastic, she contacted a number of people for me to hunt down the receipt so that I could get service. She was pleasant the whole time and could not have done more for me. You don’t realise what this type of service means when you have other problems to worry about. Please tell your highest manager, Rina is a credit to your company and I will not forget her kindness.”

“…I am writing in regards to a phone call I made to AWA… I had recently purchased 2 of the AWA brand high definition set top boxes. After having installed them and also having purchased and installed a brand new aerial, we were still not receiving all the channels that we could previously…. I was put through to one of your consultants Kishore who was very helpful. …There was no question I asked that he couldn’t answer. It is very reassuring to know that when you ring for help, that someone like Kishore is on hand to answer the questions you have. He really knows his products, he is an asset to your company…”

Phil Dent (NSW)
“…I'd like to commend Phil Dent for providing outstanding customer service in resolving our NEC failure under warranty, From my first point of contact, Phil set me at ease… Phil did exactly what he said he was going to do in any given situation.. In fact, he exceeded his offering of service saying, "Give me to next Monday to chase this up, etc.".. and then phoning just a day later. Phil took responsibility for my situation, was pro-active in resolution and on top of it all, (he) was an absolute pleasure. I'm very impressed with AWA, overall.…”

John Talarico (VIC)
“I would just like to pass on to you a positive experience I've had in my initial dealings with your AV service department. I am the repairs technician at DRM Audio Visual. For some years have been dealing with NEC service to supply us parts and to handle warranty work. In our first NEC warranty repair since the NEC handover to AWA we had an important and urgent projector job. I would like to say thank you very much to your service team for the rapid turnaround and professional response on this job. Thanks, in particular, to John in service who was my contact for the repair. From drop-off to pick-up this repair was completed in 6 working days, including sourcing parts from Sydney. John was able to give me a detailed update on the job each time I called. I was impressed, especially given that AWA has only taken over from NEC service in the week before. I look forward with confidence to dealing with your service team again in the coming months and years…”
From: Alec Graham, DRM Audio Visual |
 |
Troy Du Sart (NSW)
“I'd like to recognise Troy for his outstanding working in the IT department. As you know, Troy performs his duty without complaint. He often gets pulled apart like a rubber gumby going out of his way to help anyone who asks. Troy needs to be recognised for his continuous after hours support of all departments, most not even realising that he will work until late in the evening and weekends so they can continue seamlessly the next day. Well done Troy!”

Nominated: Karen Mountain, (VIC)
“Keeping the customer informed is obviously a key, per the results here. I have noted that Karen Mountain from the Victorian BBC is very proactive in providing updates on all cases she has, the notes passed back to Lexmark clearly provide parts delivery delay details and also clearly indicate that AWA is keeping the customer updated of the delay and making revised schedules, this is a great example of KCI.…”
